We are currently producing our 36th workshop, "The Journey towards a Nobel Prize & Award-Winning Research" which will be held at the Westmead Education and Conference Centre, Darcy Rd & Hawkesbury Road, Westmead Hospital on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
This workshop will have similar themes to the workshop "Building Cell Therapy Careers and Companies" that we held in October 2024. Our aim then was to show that there is more open to biological scientists than the traditional academic route, even how academia could be fun and rewarding! We received a lot of positive feedback about how members found it inspiring.
In this workshop, we will explore what drives perseverance, creativity, and collaboration in science.
Topics will include:
- From Idea to Breakthrough – the art of scientific innovation
- Turning Research into Discovery – balancing risk, data, mentorship, and teamwork
- The realities of scientific competition and recognition
- The emotional and professional challenges of navigating controversy
